Guto Bebb MP for Aberconwy joined blind veterans at a special House of Commons tea party held by Blind Veterans UK (formerly St Dunstan’s)  – the charity for vision impaired ex-Servicemen and women to celebrate its Tarts for Troops fundraising campaign.

Guto Bebb supports Age Cymru anti-scams campaign

Thousands of scams and unwanted doorstep calls were reported throughout Wales in the past year, a charity claims today. Age Cymru, which will launch a campaign against scams and doorstep crime later this month, has released new figures ahead of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, Saturday 15 June.

Funding for Aberconwy community projects

WREN are highlighting that they would like to see more applications from the Conwy area due to previously low application levels. WREN is a not for profit business that awards grants to communities across the UK. Projects must be community based and include the provision or improvement of a public amenity. e.g. Village Halls, Play Areas, Community Gardens, Church Halls, Nature Reserves, Multi Sports Facilities.

Guto Bebb signs up to help improve 'phone signal in Aberconwy area

The Countryside Alliance is asking people to become phone detectives this summer and help it map real phone reception rates across the UK and MP Guto Bebb is behind the cause. Guto Bebb said: “Everyone pays the same for their phone package but phone reception is very variable and many people are not getting a good deal.

Aberconwy utility bills £158 lower under Conservatives

The Energy Bill will save families in Aberconwy up to £158 on their utility bills, by helping people to switch to the cheapest tariff. The most vulnerable households will see the greatest benefit. This is on top of the £64 average saving that householders in Aberconwy have already seen so far, compared to Labour’s plans.

Guto Bebb calls for consumer protection for off gas grid users in Aberconwy

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Off-Gas Grid is today publishing its report on the high costs and high levels of fuel poverty endured by the four million off-gas grid households across the country.  A typical off-gas grid family faces bills 60-120% higher than on mains gas and 32% are fuel poor.
