Guto Bebb MP for Aberconwy joined blind veterans at a special House of Commons tea party held by Blind Veterans UK (formerly St Dunstan’s) – the charity for vision impaired ex-Servicemen and women to celebrate its Tarts for Troops fundraising campaign.
Guto is urging his constituents to support Tarts for Troops which kicks off on 29 June – Armed Forces Day, and is about having fun and raising money to support the vital work of Blind Veterans UK which has a rehabilitation and training centre in his Llandudno constituency. There are many ways that people can get involved with Tarts for Troops. Whether they hold a bake-off, a tarts and tea party, get together with colleagues at work for tarts with their morning coffee, or have friends around for a gourmet tart dinner party. For more information about Tarts for Troops and to register events go to www.tartsfortroops.org.uk.
Blind Veterans UK provides blind and vision impaired ex-Service men and women with lifelong support including welfare support, rehabilitation, training, residential and respite care.
